Grounded in the everyday walks, careful looking and the intimacy of a studio- paintings are an exploration into the nature of visual experience through traditional medium of oil paint. Everyday appreciation of accidental forms, blossoming of a flower, infinite colours of a city, complexity of construction sites, glitter of a rain, patterns and lines seen throughout the day - inevitably make their way back to the painting. With all the complexities of a psyche- its anxieties, desires, fears, ethics and virtues; accumulation of time, actions and material -paintings are individual postcards from and of human existence at time and place. Ultimately, like anything else, painting is a way to tackle with freedom, translating inner and outer experience into the material language of paint.
